The unstable government in Afghanistan has caused mothers to lose their husbands and children to lose their fathers. Not only has the war cause Kabul to change, it has made life really hard for the people in Kabul. Families have no fathers and mothers were not allowed to do anything, which eventually results in beggars everywhere.
I agree with how you analyzed this quote, and this quote makes me think how complicated life is in Afghanistan. This made me relate back to how things are different in America, when men was at war, women took on male roles, but in Afghanistan, even if men are at war, women still have strict rules they need to follow.
